This speaker and transformer combination is designed for both paging announcements and emergency tones in EWIS systems. Speakers employed in an EWISinstallation must comply to AS1670.4. This dictates that the speakers must be fitted with transformer safety cover, cable restraint plate, line monitoring capacitor and 4way wire protect terminal connection. This Redback EWIS speaker complies to this standard.

Each custom designed speaker and transformer combination has been specifically engineered to ensure a wide frequency range and dispersion angle, plus a high sound pressure level (SPL) ensuring excellent music and speech intelligibility; which is critical for emergency paging applications.
Each transformer is fitted with multiple power settings which are user selectable via taps on the transformer. For reference, the transformer safety cover is imprinted with power selection information.

Installation Guidelines
This speaker is fitted with a 4 way wire protect screw terminal block. This is suitable for loop in, loop out cabling. The cable can be secured to the in-built restraint plate with 100mm cable ties.

All One-Shot speakers are designed for fast installation due to the integral pressure clips which grip to the reverse side of the ceiling tile. They suit any 10-13mm ceiling tile, including gyprock, mineral fibre or fixed gyprock ceilings. Redback provide an optional tile support or ceiling pan to minimise sag and vibration.

These pans fit inside the t-bar supports for the tile ceiling and provide a solid surface on which the One-Shot clips secure to. Once the hole is cut, these simply slide up into the hole, the speaker is then pushed in until the clips release.

For 200mm (8) models we recommend a speaker hole of 246mm. This is easily cut using the T 2314 holesaw.

Originally designed for use in our own audio sound lounges for demonstrating the performances of our various speaker models. Due to continuous requests from customers we have added it to our range. Only a single pair of speakers may be operated at a time. Does not permit several pairs of speakers to operate simultaneously. Pluggable terminals are provided for all input and output connections. The front panel LCD can be programmed to name each set of speakers for easy identification. Speaker selection can be performed manually from the front panel switches or via the remote control supplied. The A 2080 zone selection panel allows the control of paging and background music over 10 speaker zones. It can switch an incoming signal to any combination of the 10 zones, and includes an 'All Call' function for access to all zones at once. The design of the A 2080 allows multiple units to be connected together to create an infinite number of zones. Connection is via screw terminals on the rear panel of the unit. A zone selection panel can be used in distributed PA systems such as schools, clubs, office buildings and recreation centres. The unit is fully self contained and requires no external power source. Suitable for 100V or 70V line systems.

A 2080 Rear Panel

This speaker zone selection panel allows you to select either; one zone or a combination of speaker zones plus all zones via the “all call” switch. Several units can be connected together in a “daisy chain” fashion, enabling any number of speaker zones to be paged (eg: three zone selection panels will give you a total of 15 speaker zones). Suitable for 70V or 100V speaker systems only. If zone selector illumination is needed, the unit requires a M9391 24VDC 500mA plugpack.

When fitted the voice over chip will interrupt the evacuation tone after four cycles and deliver its recorded message twice. This sequence continues until the evac tone is manually cancelled. Message length is approximately 16 seconds. Suits A 2075
