Designed specifically for lead free soldering applications as a result of the introduction of the RoHS “green” standard. Lead free solder requires a much higher tip temperature than traditional lead type solder. The T 2380 utilises a high power transformer for much higher tip temperatures from 250°C to 500°C, it is also equipped with the latest lead free compatible Japanese made tips.
