This compact 0.5W 40 channel UHF CB has a range of up to 5km in “line of sight” conditions, and measures just 155mm high including the antenna! It features duplex capability for accessing repeater stations, a channel scan function, a built-in belt clip and a VOX feature for voice-activated transmissions eg with the optional X 0551 headset mic. The VOX sensitivity can be adjusted to suit the microphone and background noise conditions. Uses 4 x AAA batteries, and can accommodate NiMH rechargeable cells. There is a socket in the base of the unit for recharging the batteries.
