NoBrand Cable Tracer - Tri-Colour LED Display

This cable tracer is perfect for locating faulty wiring or conversely confirming correct wiring. The unit consists of two parts. The first part is the tone generator. This is connected to one end of the cable by the test leads provided. The generator can transmit either a single or dual tone signal. The second part is the probe. This is used to identify the other end of the cable. To do this you simply probe around in the area you suspect. The probe will sniff out the appropriate cable, even in a bunch of cables. When it detects the signal transmitted by the generator in the correct cable it emits an audible tone. The generator can also be used to check cable continuity, identify cable faults, determine line polarity and voltage in network and modular telephone lines.
